FAQS How long does the application take?
Eyelush eyelash extensions usually take approximately
2-2.5 hours for the initial set. This will include a full consultation to determine the look you wish to achieve. Touch-up appointments take between 1-1.5 hours depending on how many eyelash extensions have been lost since the last appointment.

Can you describe the application process?
You will be comfortably reclined with your eyes closed while Eyelush extensions are applied to your natural eyelashes. The procedure generally takes between 2-2.5 hours to apply one full set of Eyelush eyelash extensions and is so relaxing that most clients fall asleep. Can I apply mascara to Eyelush eyelash extensions?
One of the major benefits of Eyelush eyelash extensions is it reduces or eliminates the need to wear mascara for the duration of the eyelash extensions for most customers. However, if you must have that mascara look, only water based mascara can be used . Eyelush offer an exclusive mascara formulated by Xtreme lashes which will not affect or damage the bonding agent used to apply them. DO NOT use any oil based products on your Eyelush eyelash extensions as they may dissolve the bonding agent and cause the eyelash extensions to fall off.

Does wearing Eyelush eyelash extensions damage my natural lashes?
No, as long as the correct after care is followed. Eyelush eyelash extensions are bonded directly onto the natural lash 1mm from the base so they don't touch the skin. Therefore Eyelush eyelash extensions do not interfere with the natural lash cycle, allowing your lashes to grow and fall out as normal.

Is the adhesive used safe?
Yes! The adhesive used in the application primarily consists of the same ingredient used by surgeons for wound closure. It is specially formulated to use around the eye area and the adhesive doesn't touch the skin during or after the application process as it's only applied to your natural lashes.
How do I take care of Eyelush eyelash extensions?
Eyelush eyelash extensions are easy to maintain and every client will receive aftercare advice from their Eyelush stylist and an aftercare leaflet to take home. Contact lenses must be removed during the procedure but can be put back in straight after the application and then worn as normal.
To maintain the look and life of your Eyelush eyelash extensions follow these easy care instructions:
• Do not wash/shower for 24 hours after the lash application.
• Do not swim/spa for 48 hours after application to allow adequate time for bonding.
• Be gentle with your new lashes.
• Avoid rubbing the eyes.
• Avoid oil based/waterproof mascara. Water based mascara and water based mascara remover should be used. Use mascara sparingly and gently remove with water based mascara remover. A range of water based mascaras and eye-make up removers are available to purchase from Eyelush which will help to prolong the life of your Eyelush eyelash extensions.
• Avoid using mechanical and heated eyelash curlers. Eyelush lashes come in varying curls which make the lashes appear curlier and therefore the use of eyelash curlers is no longer necessary.
• Apply the specially formulated 'longer life coating', once or twice a week (available to purchase from Eyelush) The longer life coating will help to preserve the look and extend the life of your lashes, whilst also giving the lashes a wonderful shine!

Can you take off the lash extensions?
Yes. Eyelush can remove them for you in an easy and painless procedure by removing them one by one. However you must not attempt to remove them yourself as it may cause damage to the natural lashes if the correct procedure is not followed.

Who wears eyelash extensions?
Hollywood has long since enjoyed extending their beauty with eyelash extensions and models and actors have been using them as one of their best kept beauty secrets for years. Now you can have them too and make them your best kept secret, because they look so real that no-one will ever know! However, please be aware that the lash extensions can only be applied to a natural eyelash. Therefore this treatment is not suitable for someone who has partial or complete loss of their natural eyelashes.

What are the lash extensions made from?
The lashes are made from a synthetic polyester material.

How long will the eyelash extensions last for?
The average eyelash cycle is between 60-90 days and the lashes will last the full natural lash cycle of the lashes they are attached to, provided the correct aftercare is followed. All the natural lashes are at different stages of their life cycle at any given time so will fall out at different times when they will be replaced by the growth of a new lash. If worn on a continuous basis, Eyelush recommends touch-up appointments every 2-4 weeks, depending on the speed of the individuals natural eyelash growth cycle.

Can I swim, shower and regularly exercise with
eyelash extensions?
Yes! The specially formulated bonding agent used to apply the lashes, allows you to carry on as normal. You can carry on with little need to adapt your lifestyle around the lashes, however please be aware that all showering, swimming, steam rooms etc should be avoided in the first 48 hours after application to allow the bonding agent to fully dry.

Do I need to have my eyelashes tinted before?
It is not necessary for you to have your lashes tinted prior to the application because both the adhesive used and lashes that are applied are black, giving a dark finish to the lashes. However, if your natural lashes are very pale it may be advisable to have a tint to make lashes more visible to the Eyelush lash stylist when applying the lashes. Tints should be carried out at least 24 hours before your appointment.
